概要/Abstract
For couples separated away, it has become a lot easier to communicate with each other using cell phones, chat systems and e-mails. However, non-verbal communications and physical communications are still very restricted with these telecommunication technologies. In our study, we believe that it is important to see each other for real and be physically affectionate with partner for the romantic relationship. In this paper, we introduce Caressing Bank: Caressing Bank a tool to save the desire to touch the partner and share a common balance. When the couple are being away, they can save their desire to touch partner for next time they can see each other, and let partner to know that he wanted to touch her. Also, when meeting together, Caressing Bank can be a trigger to have the actual physical contact. Caressing Bank both supports couples when they are separated away and when they meet for real. We developed a simple prototype consists of a stuffed animal connected to PC for man to touch instead of the woman and gain the balance, a cell phone for woman to check the balance and respond to the man and a Web server in between.
