Interactive Cooking Recipe Search by Keywords and Their Priorities

概要/Abstract

This paper proposes a new dynamic interactive technique for keyword-based information retrieval such as cooking recipe search. The most websites and software for cooking recipe management currentlly provide keyword-based interfaces to search for recipes by their ingredients. In our new method, users can input not only names of ingredients but rough priorities (degrees of importance) of the corresponding ingredients by moving slider bars interactively, thus they can more interactively control the listing order of the search results, and more easily narrow down the candidates.
